MATTHEW REEF BLISS


age 47, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2017. He was at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Ames House, Westlake. He was the beloved son of Bradley Reef Bliss and Nancy Carole Bliss of Chesterland. After high school Matt joined the United States Air Force and served at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska with USAF Civil Engineering Corps. After discharge he earned his master plumbing degree, and had his own plumbing business for several years. He finished his professional life with Neptune Plumbing Co. He is survived by his two beloved sons, Hunter Reef Bliss and Grant Lucas Bliss and his two sisters and their families, Dr. Rebecca Bliss and Dr. Bryan Hosack, children Ezra Bliss- Hosack, Devna Bliss-Hosack, Anya Bliss-Hosack and Shoa Bliss- Hosack; Wendy Bliss Jackson and John M. Jackson, children Sophia Jackson and Savannah Jackson. In a celebration of his life, a private Honors Military Service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. We will miss Matt 's charm, laughter and creativity. There was nothing Matt loved better than his boat, Lake Erie, and catching perch at Kelleys Island. In lieu of flowers, please thank a military person for protecting our country in Matt 's name and memory and donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Ames House, Westlake.
